About Us

Our story began in 2018 when our founder, Ayen Cruz, became a first-time mother to her son, Loukas. Like many parents, she searched for safe, high-quality learning materials that would support her child's development. Inspired by parenting books and educational philosophies such as Montessori, she quickly realized that there were very few locally made options in the Philippines that were both developmentally appropriate and beautifully crafted.

So she decided to create her own.

With the support of her husband Ricky, an engineer, what started as a search for better learning materials became a family mission. Together, they designed their first wooden toys and furniture, drew blueprints, and established a small woodworking shop dedicated to creating purposeful, child-centered materials.

From the beginning, our goal was simple: to help parents create an environment where children can learn, explore, and grow with joy.

Each Happy Story Co. piece is crafted from quality hardwoods and finished with US-certified non-toxic coatings to ensure safety for growing children.

Our products are proudly made in the Philippines by skilled local artisans in a lakeside village on the outskirts of Metro Manila. Combining modern precision with traditional craftsmanship, every piece reflects the care, expertise, and pride of the people who make it.
